Saint Raphael's outpatient dialysis locations are equipped with state-of-the-art high flux hemodialysis machines to treat people with chronic kidney failure. The facility at 150 York Street, New Haven offers 28 stations; the facility at 34 East Industrial Road in Branford, has eight stations; the facility at 50 Commerce Park Drive in Milford has 14 stations and one isolation unit; and the Meriden location (Fresenius Medical Care) at 377 Research Parkway has 23 stations and one isolation unit.  The newest facility at 266 State Street in North Haven offers 15 stations.

Saint Raphael's has both outpatient hemodialysis and inpatient peritoneal dialysis and offers continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis at 136 Sherman Ave. in New Haven.

North Haven Dialysis Center is open and expanding

The latest facility in North Haven, which is part of the Saint Raphael Dialysis Center Partnership between Saint Raphael Healthcare System, DePaul Health Services Corporation, and the Renal Research Institute, a national collaboration of dialysis facilities with ties to academic research, is a state-of-the-art center balancing medical care with patient needs.  It features heated chairs, touch-screen TVs, movies and Internet service for patients who often have to sit for long periods of time to receive treatment.

Offering "late shift" as well as daytime hours, the center is designed to be a model for home dialysis therapies.  Plans are to add additional hours and Saturday shifts later this year.  The center can accommodate more than 45 patients a day.
